DAY 01: NJP TO SILLERYGAON
On the first day of your Silk Route Puja Special Tour from Kolkata, you will be welcomed at NJP or IXB, and then travel to Sillery Gaon. This is a quiet little village about 10 km from Delo in Kalimpong, known for its stunning views of Mount Kanchenjunga and the Teesta River flowing below.
Located at a height of 6,000 ft, Sillery Gaon is surrounded by thick pine forests and cinchona plantations, creating a calm and peaceful setting. While the village doesn’t have luxury hotels, its natural charm and peaceful environment will make your stay special. You’ll spend the night in a local homestay, enjoying the quiet beauty of the place.
DAY 02: SILLERYGAON TO RONGPOKHOLA
Early in the morning, enjoy the beautiful sunrise from Ramitey View Point, which is about a 45-minute walk. After breakfast, head towards Rongpokhola. Once you arrive, have lunch by the riverside and relax to the soothing sound of the Rongpo River.
Reshikhola is a small village in East Sikkim, located at a height of 3,000 feet. It sits along the banks of the Rangpo River, surrounded by green forests and scenic hills. You can also enjoy a refreshing bath or try fishing in the clear waters of the Rongpo River.
At night, enjoy a barbeque and campfire by the river, followed by dinner. Spend the night at Rongpokhola.
DAY 03: RONGPOKHOLA TO ZULUK TOUR
This is one of the most exciting days of your Silk Route Tour Package Puja Special. After breakfast, you’ll travel to Zuluk, passing through some beautiful places like Rongli Dam, Lingtam, and Keukhela Falls.
Rongli (Altitude: 5200 ft) – A small town by the Rongli River, known as the place where you get the Inner Line Permits for visiting Nathula.
Rongli Dam – A concrete dam on the Rongli River, which holds about 45,200 cubic meters of water.
Lingtam (Altitude: 5082 ft) – A quiet village surrounded by hills, famous for its pleasant climate. You can also visit the peaceful Lingtam Monastery here.
Keukhela Falls – A beautiful 100-meter high waterfall located between Lingtam and Padamchen, surrounded by natural beauty.
Zuluk (Altitude: 7000 ft) – A lovely small village in East Sikkim, known for its untouched charm and amazing views of the Himalayan mountains. You’ll check into your Zuluk Homestay and spend the night there.
DAY 04 : ZULUK TO GANGTOK
After an early breakfast, begin your sightseeing trip with a sunrise view from the Zig Zag Road, known for its 95 Turns, and enjoy the amazing scenery from Thambi Viewpoint. Then continue your tour to Laxmi Chowk, Nathang Valley, Tukla Valley, Kalipokhri (lake), Old Baba Mandir, Jelep-La Pass, and Kupup, passing through the famous zig-zag road again.
At Kupup, visit the beautiful Elephant Lake and see the world’s highest golf course, the Yak Golf Course, located at an altitude of 13,025 ft. On the way, you’ll also stop by Tsomgo Lake and the New Baba Mandir.
You will spend the night at Gangtok.
