- Remote Location: The Silk Route is a remote but beautiful tourist destination with limited modern facilities. Don’t expect luxurious amenities.
- Pickup Timing: Pickup from Bagdogra Airport or NJP/Siliguri Station should be between 7 AM and 3 PM. If you arrive after this time, you’ll need to stay at a hotel in NJP/Siliguri because the journey is long and tiring. Inform Adorable Silkroute about your arrival time so they can arrange your pickup and transfer to the first destination, SilleryGaon, which is about 100 km or 4-5 hours away, depending on traffic, road, and weather conditions.
- ID Proof: All travelers (including children) must carry original and photocopies of ID proof (Voter card, Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Government job ID proof) and at least 2 passport-size color photographs. Submit these documents in soft copy by email or WhatsApp as instructed by Adorable Silkroute during booking.
- Accommodation: Guests will be provided with accommodation based on the package they choose. Upgrading your room during the trip might not be possible as it depends on availability.
- Transport Service: Transport during the trip is point-to-point only. Vehicles will not deviate from the original itinerary except in cases of bad weather, landslides, roadblocks, VVIP movements, or other natural calamities.
- Vehicle Preference: Mention your vehicle preference during booking as cars are in high demand during peak seasons. Instant changes or updates may not be possible.
- High Altitude Warning: Staying overnight in Nathang Valley (altitude 13,200 ft) is not recommended for children and elderly people due to high altitude sickness. Daytime temperatures are around 7°C, and nighttime temperatures can drop to -4°C. It’s better to visit Nathang during the day and return to a lower altitude for the night. Consider carrying a portable oxygen cylinder.
- Incomplete Sightseeing: If any sightseeing point is missed due to traffic, natural calamities, time constraints, permit issues, or other uncontrollable reasons, Adorable Silkroute will not provide a refund or discount.
